No. 6 Brenham turned a slow start against Rudder into a statement performance to remain unbeaten.

Brenham scored 53 straight points, including a 42-point second quarter, to secure a 53-13 win over the Rangers Friday in District 10-5A-II play at Merrill Green Stadium in Bryan.

Senior wide receiver Chris Guidry broke Brenham's career receiving touchdowns record with his three touchdowns. His touchdowns made up all three of his receptions and targets in a 162-yard night.

His first touchdown came less than a minute after Rudder (1-6, 0-2 district) opened the scoring. Guidry earned a 71-yard score to get Brenham (7-0, 2-0 district) on the board with 1:56 left in the first quarter after several drives stalled.
