MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) will review a confrontation between the General Sessions Clerk Tami Sawyer and a personal security guard at the Memphis courthouse, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said.

The confrontation happened Tuesday outside the courthouse at 140 Adams Ave. Tennessee State Senator Brent Taylor posted body-camera footage of the incident.

SCSO said it conferred with the District Attorney General's Office, which turned the case to the TBI.

According to SCSO, an internal review found that deputies involved acted consistent with their training and policies.
