No serious injuries in accident involving Currituck County school bus

Driver of the Ford F-250 identified as 16-year-old who failed to stop at red light

Update: The North Carolina State Highway Patrol has released some additional information on the collision between a Ford F-250 and a school bus. The F-250, operated by a 16-year-old who failed to stop for a steady red light and subsequently struck the school bus in a T-bone manner.

At the time of the collision, the school bus was occupied by 20 students. As a result of the impact, the bus driver and a passenger from the F-250 sustained minor injuries and were transported to a medical facility for evaluation and treatment.
