JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) — Janesville police reported the 'No Kings' protest in that community concluded peacefully with one arrest made that was unrelated to the event.

The protest took place at the Marvin Roth Community Pavilion. The event was planned with proactive communication and monitoring efforts to maintain public safety.

Officers and deputies from the Janesville Police Department and Rock County Sheriff's Office, trained in crowd management, were used to monitor the protest. Their mission was to facilitate peaceful assembly and free speech while maintaining public safety and minimizing community disruption, according to a press release.
