PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Tens of thousands of Portlanders joined millions nationwide in the coordinated "No Kings" marches and rallies on Saturday.

Shortly after the marches began, the Portland Police Bureau closed Southwest Naito Parkway between Southwest Ash Street and the Morrison Bridge due to the size of the crowd exceeding the capacity of the section of Waterfront Park near Southwest Pine Street.

The Hawthorne Bridge closed soon after, “in anticipation of marchers.” • Boater during No Kings protest on Portland's South Waterfront on Saturday, Oct. 18.
