DULUTH — It took 37 shots on goal over two and a half periods of play before the dam ultimately broke for the fourth-ranked Minnesota Duluth women’s hockey team.

Junior forward Grace Sadura provided the long-awaited equalizer near the 14-minute mark of the final period before back-to-back goals by Thea Johansson sealed the 3-1 victory and WCHA weekend sweep over Minnesota State on Saturday at Amsoil Arena.

The game-winner and subsequent third goal off the stick of Johansson, a senior transfer from Mercyhurst, were her 100th and 101st points of her college career.

The Swedish center moved up a line with Caitlin Kraemer and Danielle Burgen for the two goals.
