This year, they anticipate Calgary's village will host 1,500 trick-or-treaters. Their biggest event took place in Toronto, which saw 3,000 visitors.
Ahead of the scariest time of the year, a special Halloween Village took place along 10a Street N.W. for National Treat Accessibility Preparation Day.
Co-founder of the Halloween Village, 14-year-old Sienna Padulo, said the event shuts down a street in the city, and homeowners volunteer to create an accessible and inclusive Halloween experience by handing out candy for the day.

“So that children using mobility devices, or with intellectual or physical disabilities can enjoy a traditional holiday that wouldn’t otherwise allow them to trick-or-treat normally,” she said.
