Limp Bizit bassist Sam Rivers has died at the age of 48. His passing was announced by the band on Instagram on Saturday, October 18th, with no cause of death disclosed.

Rivers co-founded Limp Bizkit with singer Fred Durst and drummer John Otto in 1994, and remained with the band until his death. He played on all six of the nu-metal act’s studio albums, four of which have been certified platinum or multiplatinum.
