Wide receiver Shazz Preston won’t forget how miserable his experience was before and during Tulane’s 35-14 American Conference championship game loss to Army in December.
On Saturday, he made sure the Green Wave did not feel the blues against the Black Knights a second time, scoring a tie-breaking touchdown on a wild 26-yard reception with 27 seconds left after Bryce Bohanon’s scoring grab tied it at the 1:49 mark.
“Me and Bryce were in that cold weather in New York last year,” Preston said after Tulane’s 24-17 come-from-behind victory. “We were like we’re not losing to this team twice.
