Search and Rescue crews combed through the rough terrain around Comox Lake for a third day searching for a missing camper Saturday, as outdoors enthusiasts familiar with the wilderness area joined the effort.
“It’s a very rugged area, you have to use a radio if you have one. No cell service of course,” said Kenton Graves, a Comox Valley resident who planned to keep an eye out, while exploring the back roads around Comox Lake.
According to Comox Valley RCMP, 40-year-old Ashley Bosma was last seen camping on Tuesday. When she was reported missing by family on Thursday, a search was immediately launched.
“The subject was last seen in this area, and so we are working off that,” said Gord Thompson of Comox Valley Search & Rescue, on Friday.
