Jaromir Jagr isn’t hanging up the skates just yet.
Jagr, 53, began his 38th professional hockey season playing for his hometown Kladno Knights in the Czech league on Friday.
Jagr had 10:08 in ice time during Friday’s game and joined the power-play unit in a season debut that was delayed because of a muscle problem. 3
The Knights wound up with a 3-1 victory over Vitkovice on Friday, with Jagr not speaking to media following the win.
“He makes his presence felt in the locker room,” forward Jakub Konecny told reporters. “We have a lot of fun with him.”
Jagr previously said that he was hanging up the skates ahead of last season, after playing in just 18 games the season before.
Jagr made his debut for the Knights back in 1988 when he was just 16 years old before playing in the NHL
