ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Despite the ongoing government shutdown showing no signs of ending, the Gateway Arch will reopen to the public.
The Jefferson National Parks Association led the efforts to collect money to reopen the Gateway Arch. Other organizations that helped were Explore St. Louis, Gateway Arch Park Foundation, The Arch Cafe’ and the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis.
The Gateway Arch and the Old Courthouse downtown will be open starting Saturday.
The groups said the money was enough to keep both places open until Nov. 2nd, unless the government shutdown ends before then.
