The Guelph Storm snapped a five-game losing streak and, in turn, ended Owen Sound’s five-game winning streak with a 6-3 victory inside the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre Saturday night.
It’s only the Attack’s third loss of the season, and the panic button isn’t even in the same building as the league’s early-season underdog darlings.
“It’s a helluva week for a team that has played a lot of hockey in not a lot of time,” said Attack assistant coach Reagan O’Grady. “We could feel it. They could feel it. We just said, guys, forget about it when you leave the rink. We had a great week . . . We’re not hitting the panic button by any means here.”
Owen Sound went 3-1 on the week while playing a rare four-game schedule thanks to a Thanksgiving tilt in North Bay this past Monday.
