If you've cleaned your fridge and it still smells, it could have nothing to do with rotting food or milk. According to experts, it could be a hidden issue you've never thought of - and now could be the best time to clean your fridge from the inside out.
Consumer experts at Which? have revealed the reason for your nasty-smelling fridge could be because you are storing your food wrong. It suggested that because "t he upper shelves in a fridge are warmer than those at the bottom" it is wise to put items in the right place by temperature.
They add: "Meat and fish should be on the colder bottom shelf, cooked food and cream cakes can go up top, while dairy and eggs will fare best in the middle of the fridge ."
