William & Mary celebrated Homecoming with a resilient 26–21 comeback win over Elon in front of a packed crowd at Zable Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Tribe (4-3, 3-1 CAA) trailed 14–3 late in the second quarter but surged back with 23 unanswered points to secure a key conference victory. It marked the team’s third comeback win this season and improved their home record to 4–0.
Quarterback Tyler Hughes led the charge, throwing a 16-yard touchdown pass to Deven Thompson just before halftime and following it with a 39-yard scoring strike early in the third quarter to take a 17–14 lead. A botched snap by Elon's punt unit resulted in a safety, extending the margin to 19–14.
