CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Each of the past two seasons, the Cambridge/Salem football team suffered brutal losses to Warrensburg/Lake George/Bolton, falling 54-0 in 2023 and 48-0 last year. When the two sides met in Cambridge Saturday afternoon, Doug Luke's squad was ready to issue some payback.
And that's exactly what they did. Cambridge/Salem scored touchdowns on its first eight possessions, and delivered a crushing, 61-0 victory, hanging a staggering 55 points in the first half.
The sixth-ranked team in the state for Class D, Cambridge/Salem wasted no time setting the tone, as Jackson Rowland returned the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown. Junior quarterback Stephen Yakubec followed that up with three straight touchdown passes, growing the margin to 28 by the conclusion of the
