After a stringent week-long media blackout, it has been revealed that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese travelled to the Micronesian nation of Palau with his wife-to-be Jodie Hayden for a low-key getaway.

Last Sunday Anthony Albanese and his fiancé Jodie Hayden left the country to embark on a seven day tropical holiday, however the government slapped a news blackout on the location.

It has since been revealed the duo jetted off to the secluded Micronesian nation of Palau, known for its world-renowned diving spots, pristine environment and natural wonders.

Palau is located in the western Pacific Ocean, east of the Philippines and southwest of Guam and is an archipelago that consists of roughly 340 islands.
