An Alexander City man has been killed after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Tallapoosa County.

Alabama State Troopers say 57-year-old Jerry Partee was hit while he was standing in the road on Alabama Highway 259 about one mile south of Alexander City. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened at about 10:15PM last night.
