SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The cold weather is in the forecast, and a Notre Dame’s women’s basketball star’s organization is helping some children stay warm.
Tamara Hidalgo, the mother of Notre Dame’s women’s basketball star Hannah Hidalgo, held an event on Saturday with Hannah’s Helping Hands.
About 40 children of South Bend received coats and pizza with their families.
Hannah’s Helping Hands wants to reach as many children as they can and show love by giving back to the community.
“We do philanthropy work, and Hannah is really, really a huge fan of children,” Tamara Hidalgo said. “She loves children. She as a lot of nieces and nephews.
