A woman claiming to be a judicial officer was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor on Friday after she allegedly attempted to secure a Rs 35 lakh loan from HDFC Bank using forged documents. Police also detained a local lawyer who accompanied her during the process. Both have been booked and sent to jail.

According to police, the accused, identified as Ayesha Parveen, submitted a loan application at HDFC Bank's Civil Lines branch. She introduced herself as a judicial officer posted in Rampur district.

The application was processed with supporting documents provided by a Bijnor-based lawyer named Anas, who identified himself as a public prosecutor.
