We asked the 337 prep sports community to vote for the next Daily Advertiser Athlete of the Week, and the Lafayette Christian Academy community came together in waves to vote for its own, Grace Alexander. In an online poll that closed on Friday, Alexander received close to 80% of votes cast for a total of 5,003 votes, earning her the title of Athlete of the Week for Oct. 13-19.

The Knights junior outside hitter earned this honor after her standout performance against Port Barre where she led their offense with 15 kills. They would go on to beat the Red Devils 3-1 giving them a perfect 2-0 start to Division IV District 4 play. Leading LCA's offense is nothing new for Alexander though as she's been one of its go-to weapons all season long.

She is currently averaging close to five kills per
