CARTHAGE, New York (WWNY) - The Carthage Police Department arrested a man on October 18th after an alleged domestic dispute.

According to police, Isaiah Jimenez De Leon allegedly restrained a woman by laying on top of her, choking her, covering her face with a pillow, and placed a sock in her mouth. Jimenez De Leon also allegedly refused to allow the woman to leave for about 3 hours.

Jimenez De Leon was charged with;

One count of Unlawful Imprisonment 1st degree, a class E felony

One count of Reckless Endangerment 2ND, a class A misdemeanor

Three counts of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a class A misdemeanor

Jimenez De Leon was arraigned in Jefferson County Centralized Part Court where a stay away order of protection was issued, and Jimenez De Leon was remanded to Jefferson Count
