A fire erupted in two factories in north Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area on Monday, prompting the Delhi Fire Services to deploy 16 fire tenders, an official said.

The blaze was first reported around 4:25 pm at a shoe manufacturing unit, after which the adjacent factory also caught fire, the official added.

"We rushed 16 fire tenders to the spot and the fire was brought under control by 7.15 pm. The cooling operation is underway," the official said.
