Authorities are searching for a driver who they say struck a pedestrian and left the scene in Pacoima Sunday night.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a white pickup truck was headed westbound on Van Nuys Boulevard when it struck a man walking in an unmarked crosswalk.

Police responded to the scene at Van Nuys Boulevard and Sutter Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. on Sunday.
The pedestrian, described as a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the fire department. It was not clear if the man was homeless.
The driver abandoned the truck not far from the scene on Van Nuys Boulevard, the LAPD said. No description of the driver was available.
