Oscar Award winner Ruth E. Carter was the first African-American to win and be nominated for Best Costume Design, as well as the first Black woman to win multiple Academy Awards in any category. She has collaborated with Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg, John Singleton, and Ryan Coogler. Ruth talks about some of the looks from her almost 40 year career from her first film (School Daze) and selecting George Costanza's glasses for Seinfeld to Halle Berry's rubber outfit in B*A*P*S and the details of the iconic Black Panther suit. She also talks about the research she did for period pieces like The Five Heartbeats, Cobb, Selma, and Amistad.
