A Kingston woman was sentenced to six months in jail Oct. 17 after pleading guilty to possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, a felony.

The defendant, Danielle Scofield , 34, of Kingston, also is subject to 10 years of post-release supervision.

The sentence was imposed in Ulster County Court by visiting Sullivan County Court Judge James Farrell.

The Ulster County District Attorney's office said Scofield was arrested as a result of a lengthy investigation by state police. That investigation found Scofield in possession of 26 images and videos containing child sexual abuse material.

Scofield also shared several of the images via text message, Session and Telegram with her husband and additional unknown parties.
