For the seventh straight week, the Sentinel’s panel of voting coaches etched unbeaten Edgewater in at No. 1, as the Eagles (9-0) continued to dominate their schedule with an impressive 35-6 beating of then-No. 4 Dr. Phillips on Friday .

That loss dropped Dr. Phillips (6-2) to No. 7 in the Orlando Sentinel Super 16 Coaches Poll. Edgewater again received 12 first-place votes from the 14 voting coaches. The First Academy (4-4) and DeLand (7-0) received the other two.

Nos. 2 and 3 held steady with Jones (6-2) and Bishop Moore (8-0). Boone (8-0) moved up a spot to No. 4. And Evans, after a resounding 40-14 victory over then No. 10 Lake Mary, jumped three spots to No. 5.
