SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The LSU Shreveport Pilots baseball team is in Washington, D.C. celebrating their perfect 59-0 season at the invitation of President Donald Trump.
The team traveled to D.C. Sunday, Oct. 19 and met with Shreveport native and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
On Monday, Oct. 20, the team is expected to get a chance inside the White House to meet with the president. That ceremony is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. It will be livestreamed online here.
At the ceremony, the players will be announced, followed by an introduction from President Trump and head baseball coaches Brad Neffendorf (LSUS) and Jay Johnson (LSU). Trump is expected to speak after the coaches.
