Birmingham Independent MP Ayoub Khan has demanded an apology from Keir Starmer as he alleged the PM 'threw West Midlands Police under the bus' in a 'desperate attempt' to politicise a 'correct' ban of 'hooligan' fans heading to the city.

He claims that the PM's immediate condemnation of the local decision to ban travelling Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from the game against Villa was 'disgraceful' and subsequent demands for a review were 'bullying'.

He said the row has resulted in hate and abuse against him, police officers and councillors, collectively accused of being 'antisemitic'.
