Manteo’s Halloween Island is frightfully good fun
Event runs on weekends through October

Halloween Island in Manteo has returned for a second year of haunted fun featuring “13 spooky shops, 13 themed bars and 13 eerie inns” participating each weekend in October from Thursday through Saturday, leading up to Halloween.
Spearheaded by Geno Seay, co-owner of Lost Colony Tavern, the idea for Halloween Island emerged once downtown Manteo became a state-sanctioned social district in 2023, an area where patrons can carry alcoholic beverages between bars, Seay said.
