MERCER CO., Ill. (KWQC) - The two Mercer County district employees and the superintendent accused of illegally access students’ medical records appeared in court Monday.
A preliminary hearing was held for Mercer County Superintendent Timothy Farquer.
Preliminary hearing arguments were continued to Nov. 4.
At Monday’s hearing the state called Detective Lindsey Kenney to the stand.
On the stand, Kenney detailed a report she received stating that Farquer told a school nurse to provide him with medical records.
The initial requests were about hand, foot and mouth disease going around the high school, Kenney said. Specifically the names, contact information and the date the student was diagnosed.
