EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Five suspects were arrested in connection with a break-in at an abandoned building in East Longmeadow last Friday.

The East Longmeadow Police Department stated that on October 17 at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers were called to an abandoned building at 330 Chestnut Street regarding reports of suspicious activity. Police located and detained five individuals inside the building.

Following an investigation, three adult suspects-- two 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old--were arrested, and two juvenile suspects were identified and face charges.

All five suspects are charged with the following: • Possession of Burglarious Tools • Breaking and Entering a Building in the Nighttime for a Felony • Malicious Destruction of Property over $1,200
