Multiple police agencies responded to a possible barricade situation in a hotel room at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Monday which was later resolved.

According to police scanner information, the incident started around 6:30 a.m. in Mashantucket.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Police Department said the person briefly restrained two people in the room before releasing them.

“Law enforcement are managing a situation in a Fox Tower hotel room involving an individual believed to have unlawfully restrained two people before quickly releasing them earlier this morning,” the department said in a statement. “Reports of a hostage situation are incorrect. We urge against the spreading of unverified information. This is an isolated and contained situation.”
