The beef between Broncos head coach Sean Payton and Giants backup quarterback Russell Wilson lives on.

After the Giants’ epic collapse, losing 33-32 after leading 19-0 entering the fourth quarter on Sunday, Payton took a veiled shot at his former quarterback in his postgame remarks.

“I Have a ton of respect for that organization,” Payton said, via X/Twitter . “I spent four of my early years there, coordinating, Super Bowl, first game in this stadium, before 9-11. I’m close with the mayor Tisch family.

“And, you know, they found a little spark with that quarterback. I was talking to, John Mara not too long ago, and I said we were hoping that that change would have happened long, long after our game.”
