HEDGESVILLE — It was just a normal workday at the Eagle Diner for Connie Painter when she began feeling dizzy. Her coworker Edie Whittington, a registered nurse, was working with her at the time. Wittington walked Painter to a booth and tried to figure out what was going on, if her blood sugar was low, if it was virus or something else. After giving her some orange juice, Painter began feeling a bit better but decided to head home. However, when the right side of Painter’s became numb, she finally realized it was much more serious than she thought.
