ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Have you ever wanted to pet a capybara? How about a lemur? Now you can — and it helps animal conservation efforts.

The Capybara Café is an education interaction 501(c)(3) organization located in St. Augustine.

“So the Noah’s Ark Sanctuary actually owns and operates the Capybara Café," said Trey King, General Manager of the Capybara Café. "The Noah’s Ark Sanctuary is located in Hastings, Florida, so it's about 23 minutes away from here."

Most of the animals do not live at the café but instead come from the sanctuary every day.

"We want to make sure that these animals are enjoying the betterment of the sanctuary," said King. "Capybaras are semi-aquatic creatures, and they do require about 30% of their life in the water, so we make sure that they get a lot of pool t
