Ernie Clement said his Toronto Blue Jays are the best defensive team in the majors. He's also turned into one of the biggest offensive stars of the MLB postseason.

The Brighton native is shining on baseball's biggest stage and is one win away from the World Series.

Clement, the Blue Jays' breakout infielder, went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two runs scored in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series on Sunday, sparking sparked a 6–2 win over the Seattle Mariners to force a winner-take-all Game 7 on Monday night in Toronto.

“We’re the best defensive team in baseball,” Clement told FOX analyst John Smoltz after the win. “I’ve said it all year. We take care of the baseball and when our pitchers are making pitches like that it makes our job easy.”
