A man has died after a fishing boat capsized near the Outer Banks of North Carolina while traveling down the East Coast.

The two men were moving a 50-foot sportfishing boat from Cape May, N.J., to Florida when they planned to stop in Beaufort, N.C., for repairs, according to a news release from the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission obtained by PEOPLE.
