LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Metro Police Department wants to hear from you about its policies.
An LMPD spokesperson said it is releasing drafts of its policies for public review and comment. Those who wish to share their opinion on the drafts will have 10 business days to do so, meaning the submission deadline is Nov. 3, 2025.
The draft policies range from use of force, to foot pursuits, to handcuffing and prisoner transportation.
Every comment will be reviewed and considered, according to the department.
LMPD said the final policies will be announced 10 days before they are implemented.
"Your voice matters—help us create policies that strengthen trust and accountability in our community," LMPD said.
