The winner for last week’s SouthCoast Boys Athlete of the Week poll was Apponequet’s Lucas Beauregard. Beauregard received more than 8,000 votes (50%) to earn the honor.

Beauregard shot a career-low 36 to lift the Lakers past GNB Voc-Tech. He also shot an 81 at the South Coast Conference tournament.

Previous winners were New Bedford’s Jayden Derosa, Old Rochester’s Owen Harrington and Bishop Stang’s AJ Pickering, Jake Fernandes and Nolan Ciszewski.

The winner of the SouthCoast Preseason Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year was GNB Voc-Tech’s Chace Alves with 69% of the vote. The winner of the SouthCoast Preseason Boys Soccer Player of the Year was Bishop Stang’s Tiago Pais with 23% of the vote.
