A Scottish mountain rescue team was called out three times in the one day at the weekend - as they helped to find a missing person , a mountain biker and two walkers. ‌

Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team repeatedly leapt into action yesterday in what the described as "an unusually busy weekend" for the team, which is made up of volunteers. ‌

In the early hours of yesterday, Sunday, October 19, 2025, they helped officers from Police Scotland track down a missing person, helping track them down just before 4am. ‌

Just before noon, they were called into action again, helping paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service reach an injured mountain biker.

And yesterday evening they were called on again, as they helped trace two walkers who were on
