BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tensions are escalating at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Buffalo, as a labor dispute has sparked calls for a boycott of the hotel until progress is made.
A small but vocal group of Hyatt Regency Workers United members, politicians, and supporters gathered outside the hotel Monday, urging visitors and event organizers to take their business elsewhere.

At the heart of the dispute is the hotel’s owner, Douglas Development, which union leaders accuse of refusing to recognize the union and engaging in what they describe as a union-busting campaign, while facing little consequence.
Luke Sills, a former front desk worker at the Hyatt and union leader, said his firing in August was part of the pressure campaign, w
