RUTLAND, Vt. (WCAX) - About two dozen Rutland businesses are transforming their storefronts into haunted displays as part of a new Halloween window contest.
“The Halloween spirit is really infectious. It doesn’t take much on our part to get people excited about it. There’s more sugar in the air, there’s more caffeine in the air, and so we like to be a part of that,” said Bridget Scott, owner of the Speakeasy Cafe, one of the businesses on Center Street and Merchant’s Row taking part in the Downtown Rutland Partnership’s window decorating contest.
