The Varsity 845 football players of the week polls are online for Oct. 9-11 and Oct. 16-18. There will be voting in the large- and small-school divisions.

Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.

Winners of each weekly contest will be ineligible for the ensuing two weeks: Danny Lupkovich of Warwick and Danny Twomey of Cornwall in large schools, James Deyermond of Eldred and Koen McGill of Eldred in small schools.

For Oct. 2-4, Twomey beat Michael Morley of Pine Bush and Joel Luongo of Washingtonville in the large-school poll; McGill beat Austin Frunzi of Liberty and Dylan Fox of Port Jervis in the small-school
