Bo Porter, who is a respected figure in the Los Angeles Angels clubhouse, is not holding back—he wants the manager job. The former Astros skipper has spent the last two seasons on the Angels coaching staff and served as the third base coach in 2025. And he made it clear that he wants to step into the dugout as a leader next time.

Porter told The Athletic, “I would enjoy managing the Angels because I’ve been there the last two years; I’ve made an investment there. The relationships have already been fortified.” His time on Ron Washington’s staff after Washington took a leave for medical reasons in June and later stepped away reignited the passion in him for management.
