The Brockville Braves had entered play Sunday with the second-highest goals-for average in the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) but were held to 19 shots in a 4-1 loss to the Kemptville 73’s at the North Grenville Municipal Centre. Five weeks into the regular season, Kemptville has won five in a row and is now alone in second place in the 12-team Jr. A circuit. The Braves opened the scoring in Kemptville on A.J. Brennan’s first goal of the season just under 13 minutes into the game. Case Hennessy evened the score just over a minute later, and Anthony D’Arienzo put the 73’s ahead for good later in the first.
