A man has appeared in court and denied multiple historic offences after being extradited from Thailand. Vincent Agar appeared at Teesside Crown Court on Monday via videolink from prison.
He stands accused of three counts of false imprisonment, two counts of GBH with intent, one of making threats to kill, one indecent assault on a woman aged over 16 and one count of the supply of crack cocaine. The 80-year-old, who is originally from Teesside but had been living in Maret, Koh Samui, in Thailand, pleaded not guilty to all the charges at the brief court hearing.
They relate to alleged offences pre-2000 and concern two alleged victims. A trial date was set for March 2 next year.
