Prosecutors began calling evidence Monday they hope will establish grounds to commit two murder suspects to trial in the disappearance of a Calgary woman 18 months ago.

Paul Joseph Rushton, 53, of Calgary, and Steven Aaron Zwick, 26, of Airdrie, are each charged with first-degree murder in the February 2024 disappearance of Chelsea Davidenas , whose remains were found east of the city on April 4, 2024.

At the request of defence lawyers Andrea Urquhart (for Zwick) and Pawel Milczarek and Mackenzie McCaffrey (for Rushton) Justice Catherine Skene ordered a mandatory publication ban on evidence
