MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. (WBKO) - As the federal government shutdown extends into its 20th day, national parks across the country are grappling with significant operational challenges.
Among those feeling the profound strain is Mammoth Cave National Park, a vital natural resource located in Southcentral Kentucky. Mammoth Cave typically welcomes hundreds of visitors daily. However, the ongoing government shutdown has led to the closure of nearly all its cave tours.
