PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man was killed overnight after he was struck by a vehicle in north Phoenix, and now police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible.
First responders were called to the area of 27th Avenue and Northern Avenue around 8:40 p.m. on Sunday on reports of a person hit by a car.
Police officers arrived at the scene and found a man with serious injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. His name has not yet been released.
Investigators believe the man was crossing Northern Avenue when he was hit by a car that was headed westbound that took off after the collision.
